John "Duke" Wayne
He began his western movie career as a singing cowboy, like most other western actors of his time. One of his most well-known roles was as the character Rooster Cogburn from the intended trilogy of "True Grit", "Rooster Cogburn", and Sometime, the last never went into production due to the second in the series doing little more than average at the box office. |
Clint Eastwood "The Man With No Name"
His debut performance was in the television western series "Rawhide". In no time he became the star of the show as Rowdy Yates. As the years passed he began to tire of the 'good guy' image and moved onto a darker version of the cowboy in Sergio Leone's "The Man With No Name" trilogy. |
